Technology and material

The creative interplay of colors, shapes and structures in nature can be represented particularly well with oil or acrylic paint in combination with pigment, sand or clay. As a tool, I use anything that helps to achieve the desired effect: brush, spade , spatula or finger. Most of the time, however, I work with a spade or spatula . Thick, impasto paints, structure pastes or other structure-creating materials such as sand or clay are applied to the painting surface and then paint is spackled over it. This procedure is also known as a spatula technique or structure painting. For more light, shimmering or shimmering effects , on the other hand, repeated pouring of different, very fluid color nuances is suitable.

Memories

When do you start dreaming? When you watch the waves reflect on the ocean floor in the sunshine? Or stand by a stream and, lost in thought, listen to the sounds of the water huddling against the boulders? Or did you feel protected by the canopy of leaves in the forest? Or did you enjoy the thrill of speed, only being able to perceive the passing landscape in a shadowy manner on a train ride?  Would you like to remember these moments again and again?
